Sal and Dean is a character study of the two seminal members of the Beat Generation, Jack Kerouac and Neal Cassady, told through their pseudonymous alter-egos, Sal Paradise and Dean Moriarty.  After chasing Camille all the way to San Francisco only to get cast off like yesterday’s jeans, Sal tries to find what he thinks he lost, only to be wrenched away from happiness and back into Dean’s life by the one person who drove them apart in the first place.
