Barbie has been a fixture in pop culture for over 50 years, for better or worse. This solo performance explores one woman’s relationship with the childhood icon, and ponders the effects of a Barbie-dominated girlhood. Warning: this performance contains Barbie nudity.

Both Tessa Flannery (writer/performer) and Rebecca Cunningham (director) have worked with Planet Connections in the past. In the 2013 Festivity, Tessa was an acting intern, performing in Eurydice; Rebecca directed Eurydice and was the Intern/Apprentice Coordinator. In 2012, Rebecca worked in Special Events for PCTF. Both are thrilled to return to the 2014 Festivity with ‘Life in Plastic.’
