Olivia has been involved with the NYC non-profit theatre community for 7 years. A native of Ohio, she received her BA degree in Dance Performance from the University of Akron in Akron, OH and came to NYC in 2007 to pursue a career in the performing arts. She has had the great privilege of performing in many diverse shows from musicals to experimental theatre at venues like La Mama and the Producers Club. A few memorable roles include a Jungle Creature in Suessical the Musical, Melonie in Man of Your Dreams, an original one act play, and an Ensemble member in Dirty Rotten Scoudrels with the Strivelli Players in Brooklyn.

She also loves helping out behind the scenes as a production assistant or assistant stage manager at fellow friend’s or local artist’s shows in her spare time. Most recently she was a production assistant for renowned NYC theatre artist John Jesurun and his production of Shadowland, Episodes 4 and 5, a multimedia/live installation at the Ellen Stewart Theatre. She is also a skilled choreographer and develops her own unique dance pieces as often as she can.

In addition to performing, Olivia is very interested in non-profit theatre development and administration and continues to build on her skills and expertise in this area. She has had the privilege of being a Box Office and Production Intern at the former Incubator Arts Project in the East Village as well as a Development intern for the The New Group Theatre Company at Theatre Row.

This is Olivia’s third year with Planet Connections and this year she is very excited to be Assistant Managing Director. She has always been very passionate about Planet’s partnership with local charities and non-profits to help spread awareness of eco-friendly theatre practices and theatre for a cause. She looks forward to an amazing 2016 Festival season!
