From award winning playwright John Patrick Shanley comes a new one act, an occult adventure called Tennessee. A spooky rocker chick outside Nashville may or may not know the future, but Mike sure as hell thinks she does. And he’ll stop at nothing to force her to reveal the truth about his own – no matter what the consequences might be.
John Patrick Shanley (Playwright) is from The Bronx, New York. His plays include Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, Savage in Limbo, Italian-American Reconciliation, Welcome to the Moon, Four Dogs and a Bone, Cellini, Dirty Story, Defiance, Pirate and Storefront Church. His theatrical work is performed extensively across the United States and around the world. For his play, Doubt, he received both the Tony Award and the Pulitzer Prize. In the arena of screenwriting, he has nine films to his credit, most recently Doubt, with Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Amy Adams, which was nominated for five Academy Awards, including Best Adapted Screenplay. The film of Doubt was also directed by Mr. Shanley. Other films include Five Corners (Special Jury Prize, Barcelona Film Festival), Alive, Joe Versus the Volcano, which he also directed, and Live From Baghdad for HBO (Emmy nomination). For his script of Moonstruck he received both the Writers Guild of America Award and an Academy Award for best original screenplay. The Writers Guild of America awarded Mr. Shanley the 2009 Lifetime Achievement In Writing.

IVETTE DUMENG (Dewey) Recently performed in Stuart Caldwell’s Tatiana and the Baboon directed by Lori Kee and John Patrick Shanley’s new play, Poison directed by Peter Jensen. She is a working commercial, film and theater actress and has most recently guest starred in CBS’s Blue Bloods. One of Ivette’s favorite roles was playing Frances the Chimp in The Monkey Show, also by John Patrick Shanley. She has been cast as the female lead in the feature film Barney, which begins principal photography later this year. She is Artistic Director of Nylon Fusion Theatre Company.

Izzy has designed for National Yiddish Theatre-Folksbiene, Planet Connections Theatre Festivity, Work Shop Theatre Company, Connelly Theatre, June Havock Theatre and many more. Izzy has also made costumes for countless Broadway and ABT shows at the renowned Broadway costume shop Barbara Matera Lt. She is currently getting her masters at NYU Tisch for costume and production design.

Neil Patel (Scenic Designer) is an award winning New York based designer practicing in many disciplines including theatre, opera, dance, film, television and live events. He is best known for developing new work and bold interpretations of classic texts. Past credits include the Tony Award winning Side Man for Broadway, the West End and the Kennedy Center, the Pulitzer Prize winning Dinner with Friends in New York and on national tour, the world premiere of Bright Sheng’s Madame Mao at the Santa Fe Opera, Amon Miyamoto’s production of Cosi Fan Tutte at the Nissay Theater in Tokyo which was awarded the Japanese National Art Festival Award for theatrical production, the production design for HBO’s Peabody Award winning In Treatment and Shadowland for Pilobolus throughout Europe including the Folies Bergeres in Paris and the Komische Oper in Berlin. He has twice been recognized with an Obie Award for sustained excellence and has been the recipient of the Helen Hayes Award and numerous Henry Hewes and Drama Desk nominations. He is a graduate of Yale College and the University of California at San Diego.
